Grade Level Outcomes
Math Goal:
All kindergarten students will build number sense by identifying numbers to 20, represent using concrete materials to 20 and solve and record addition and subtraction problems to 10 as measured by MSD grade level math assessments.
Literacy Goal:
All kindergarteners will gain understanding of letters and letter sounds and apply to both reading and writing.

Science: In kindergarten science is designed to help children learn to compare and contrast different materials. Children get a hands on experience with Animals two by two:

Social Studies: Will provide preparation for life long citizenship skills, enabling students to participate in a technological/global society. Students will acquire skill to make well reasoned decisions both individually and cooperatively. These skills will give students practice in acquiring, evaluating and using information to identify alternate solutions and their consequences. This social studies curriculum will be relevant, enabling students to understand the past and present, in preparation for their future.
